1、天然气发电机组:是以天然气为燃料的发电机组。天然气的主要可燃成份为甲烷CH4甲烷浓度一般为70%-97%天然气主要产自天然气井或石油伴生气经过轻烃回收后的工艺尾气。天然气发电机组主要用于有天然气资源的气田、轻烃回收企业及天然气管线沿途可获得天然气使用权的企业。

2、石油伴生气发电机组是:以石油伴生气为燃料的发电机组。石油伴生气的主要可燃成份为CH4、C2H6、C3H8、C4H10等以甲烷CH4为主要成份其含量一般在80%左右石油伴生气产自油井因此石油伴生气发电机组主要用于有石油伴生气的油田。

4、液化石油气发电机组:是以液化石油气为燃料的发电机组。液化石油气的主要成份为丙烷C3H8和丁烷C4H10液化石油气主要产自轻烃回收企业由于液化石油气便于储运因此液化石油气发电机组可广泛地用于气源较便宜的地区。

6、煤层气瓦斯气发电机组，是以瓦斯气为燃料的发电机组。瓦斯气的主要成份为甲烷CH4瓦斯气源于煤田一般有两种获取方式一是地面钻采二是煤矿坑道抽排。地面钻采的瓦斯气其中甲烷含量较高一般CH4含量为60%-95%也称之为煤层气煤矿坑道抽排的瓦斯气其中甲烷含量较低主要是甲烷与空气的混合物CH4含量一般为5%-50%瓦斯气发电机组主要用于大、中、小型煤矿和煤气田。
